I’ve known Silva for a very long time, and he’s always been quite the charachter. Extremely funny and very thoughtful at the same time, he’s currently developing and performing as his one-man-band solo persona, Phill Reynolds.
I couldn’t pass the opportunity to work on a few shots with him last January, so I asked him to come over to my studio and improvised with a couple of lighting setups: a huge silver umbrella, an octagonal softbox and a couple of speedlites.
I think these turned out quite well! Maybe with a little darker mood than planned, but perhaps still a nice match for his moving music.
